Aquaclay®
Ground
Apart from selecting a proper filtration system, the ground substrate is
the next most important element for a successful maintenance of aquariums
and ponds.
Research shows that the water flow through the ground is very important
for the growth of aquatic plants. A higher or better flow of water through
the substrate causes the temperature from the root to the leaves to be equally
distributed. Simultaneously a sufficient nutrient basis is present.
Aquaclay®
F 4-10
Aquaclay® F 4-10 is suitable for all standard aquarium and garden pond
filters. The small grain size provides optimal filtration and a good water
flow capacity. Special care has been taken to make sure the core and outer
surface are very porous to support this biological activity of bacteria
colonisation. The inner pores allow anaerobic bacteria to multiply and break
down ammonia, nitrate into nitrogen.
Application:
Freshwater aquarium, inside and outside filter, pisciculture, garden ponds,
swimming ponds, purification grounds for plants, sea water aquarium.
Aquaclay®

capacity after approx. 4 to 6 weeks. Can be used to its highest performance
for up to 2 years.
Afterwards can be used to increase the water storage capacity of the soil
Is lighter than gravel. Is easy to clean, specially in larger filter system.
Aquaclay® F 13-20 is supplied with a mesh filter media, facilitating
